Visit from ITN

On Thursday Feb. 9, Ralon Labs had a visit from Linköping University,
ITN Campus Norrköping. Stefan Gustavson, Jonas Unger and Jonas Lindqvist, involved in a research project on high dynamic range
image acquisition at video frame rates, needed a beamsplitter for
RGB color separation with a large aperture and high light throughput.

The beamsplitter and lens were salvaged from an old 3-LCD digital
projector. A rough setup for testing was made at Ralon labs, and
the solution proved adequate for the purpose, although search goes
on for an alternative solution that does not require polarization.

Three happy scientists with a working prototype for the beamsplitter optics.
